Dr. Mason Kulbaba

Assistant Professor,

Dr. Kulbaba is an evolutionary ecologist with a particular interest in the evolution of plant reproductive strategies and how plants interact with their environments (both abiotic and biotic). He holds a BSc in Biology from the University of Winnipeg, a PhD in Botany from the University of Manitoba and conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Calgary and the University of Minnesota. His research applies powerful quantitative tools to broad questions of eco-evo dynamics, such as evaluating the capacity for adaptation and evolutionary rescue under contemporary climate variation and describing the functional role of within-individual floral variation that contributes to the dynamic reproductive phenotypes of flowering plants.
